![]() Mr Glenn S Trust CITY HALL ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF: ![]() Administrative staff consist of Mrs. LaDawn Lawson, City Clerk; Ms. Heather Truijllo, Asst City Clerk; & Mrs. Kristi Moffett, Asst City Clerk. Open five (05) days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. The mission of the City Clerk's Office is to provide the best services to the residents of the City of Carlin in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. We are committed to providing public services related to: **Monthly Utility Billings; **Business, Gaming and Liquor Licenses **Planning and Zoning Issues; **Financial Matters Relative to the Budget **Agenda Information for the City Council, Planning Board, Econmic Development Committee and the Parks & Recreation Board **Available Rental Properties; **Available Properties for Sale **Ordinances Governing the City; **Economic Development Opportunites; **Area Information All items concerning the Planning & Zoning issues may be directed to the Planning Board Secretary, Mrs. Kristi Moffett; Parks And Recreation/Econmic Development matters may be directed to Ms. Heather Trujillo: all other items may be directed to the City Clerk, Mrs. LaDawn Lawson. POLICE DEPARTMENT: ![]() The Carlin Police Department is a small, compact agency made up of four full-time officers, a volunteer auxiliary unit and an animal control officer/police secretary. The efforts of the Carlin Police Department personnel, as well as the involvement of the community join to create an extremely low crime rate and a safe, friendly environment. FIRE DEPARTMENT: ![]() Carlin Volunteer Fire Department consists of a 33 fire fighter membership. Our fire chief is Will Johnston; he has been with the department for 35 yrs. Assistant Chiefs are Allan Christensen and Roger Curry. We have two fire Captains David Jones and Linda Bingaman, one ambulance captain Tom Bingaman and Karla Jones, Administration. Carlin VFD provides an ambulance, rescue, haz-mat, and fire services to the community as well as surrounding areas. Carlin VFD offers training to their crews every Monday evening and takes advantage of outside training through out the state. Carlin VFD is also very much involved with activities that go on within our small community. We provide a “Sparky Program” for 4th and 6th graders that teach them about fire prevention and safety. We have received funding to provide smoke detectors for every home in Carlin that is part of fire prevention and safety. We host the annual New Years Eve Party, Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July Fireworks. We also assist in all community functions, parades, bon-fire, etc. Our goal as a Department is to protect Life and Property and to make our Fire and Ambulance crews the best trained and equipped department. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT: ![]() The Public Works Department is responsible for the City's water, sewer, parks, street & cemetery functions. The department has nine full-time employees and two seasonal workers over the summer months. The Public Works Director is Carlos Esparza. The Department consists of Henry Johnson, Jay Baum, Steve Wilkinson, John Hustead, Ed Nash,and Gregg Nelson. SENIOR CENTER: ![]() ![]() Senior Center Staff consists of Keith Fertig, Bus Driver; Ms. Darla Hoadley, Executive Director; ; Bobbi Sue White, Head Cook; & Demoya Ferguson, Asst Cook. Carlin Senior Citizen's Program Mission Statement The mission of the CARLIN OPEN DOOR SENIOR CENTER is to provide weekday meals & transportation to those 60 and over. We excel in: * A warm friendly atomsphere; * A family oriented organization We are: * Committed to member service; * Focused on the well being of all our members Activities include: * Monthly Birthday Party; * Blood Pressure Checks Bi-Monthly * Bingo Monday - Wendesday Afternoons & Thursday Morning; * Special Holiday parties * Trips to the City of Elko Thursdays for Shopping, Appointments, etc. * Low Income Fuel Assistance & Social Services Referrals * Monday - Friday Daily Delicious Meals for the Congregation & Homebounds w/Transportation to & form the Senior Center We are located at 320 Chestnut Street. Our Seniors can to do crafts, learn computer skills and read current magazines and newspapers as well as offer other learning and cultural events. All are welcome & we would love to see you here.
